UWO gets Geared Up!

The Gear Up to Vote tour stop at UW-Oshkosh (UWO) was a great success, with 62 students registered and well-deserved visibility for the Winnebago County League. It was great to see so many students eager to vote. And seven League members were there to register them and answer their questions. The GUTV van was parked right outside the Reeve Student Union next to an informational table at which the Oshkosh Student Association (OSA) provided free pizza so hungry students could grab their lunch and have time to register to vote before heading to their afternoon classes. The registration table was in the union lobby, close to the “Titan Central” office where students can request a student ID card that can be used for voting. More information of the student ID for voting. With ChromeBooks provided by OSA and tablets by the League, we were able to look up students’ proof of residence and polling place. I was so impressed by how well the operation was organized by LWV Winnebago County and our campus host, OSA.
